What Happened to Such TV News Caster During Earth Quake Must Watch
A 5.2 magnitude quake, which was centred west of Masterton, was near the Wairarapa town’s water treatment plant. The earthquake struck at 7.41am on Tuesday, and was centred 15km west of Masterton at a depth of 24km and had a “strong” intensity, Geonet said.
Masterton District Council spokesman Sam Rossiter-Stead said there had been no disruption to water supply at the treatment plant and there had been no reports so far of damage to other infrastructure, including roads. Teachers at Fernridge School, west of Masterton, felt the earthquake strongly enough that they immediately took shelter.
