Shahid Afridi’s bad word war about Javed Miandad
Former captain of Pakistan Cricket team Shahid Afridi apologised from legend Javed Miandad, for giving statements against him earlier on the day, reported Dunya News.
Afridi tweeted that he regrets what he said but Miandad made personal attacks on Afridi and he was tolerating for a long time. He said that it was compulsory for him to show reaction after Miandad s remarks on TV.
Former T20 captain Shahid Afridi, while responding to a question, said “money has always been an issue for Javed Miandad”.
The all-rounder was talking to journalists in Karachi at the book launch ceremony of sports journalist Saleem Khaliq, when a reporter mentioned it to Afridi that “Javed Miandad has said that Afridi wanted farewell game only for money”.
To this Afridi responded saying, “money has always been an issue for Javed Miandad”.
He went on to say that “it doesn’t suit a legendary cricketer like Miandad to pass such irresponsible comments”.
Afridi said people loved him a lot and it doesn’t matter to him much whether he gets the farewell game or not.
“I will meet PCB executive committee’s chairman Najam Sethi and talk to him about what the board wants to do regarding the farewell game,” he said.
