Qandeel Baloch along with these 6 Pak celebs KILLED

A rebel by heart, Qandeel Baloch, was the face of woman empowerment in Pakistan. She was often described as Pakistan’s Kim Kardashian. In a recent interview, she spoke about how she wanted to change Pakistan’s male-dominated patriarchal society and its on-going social norms. What happened next? You know it and everyone else too. This incident has once again put the spotlight back on the deadly menace affecting the Pakistani society – ‘honour killing’. It has showed the true face of chauvinistic and atrocious world we are a part of. According to a report by the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, on an average, 1,000 women are killed each year for violating the family’s reputation and the conservative norms of the society.

The case of Qandeel Baloch has evoked memories from the past of many Pakistani celebrities who received flak, threat calls and even fatwas for being glamorous, and for posting provocative videos and pictures on the social media.
