MQM’s Haider Abbas Rizvi lashes out at Sindh government
KARACHI: Haider Abbas Rizvi, a senior MQM leader, on Thursday severely criticized the Sindh government for its failure to provide security to Karachiites.
Speaking to media after funeral prayers of MQM’s slain worker, he lambasted the Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah and senior police officials for extra-judicial killings of party’s workers.
Rizvi said that MQM workers have been kept in ‘official torture cells’ adding it has now become a fashion in Karachi to throw away bodies of party workers after killing them in cold blood.
MQM leader questioned why Sohail Ahmed, MQM unit in-charge whose body was recovered yesterday, was killed and for what reason.
Rizvi said the police force and its senior officials in the city are non-locals, adding Karachi is under ‘occupation.’
