KARACHI: Rattled over the assassinations of party activists, the Coordination Committee of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) voiced concerns over the arrest of party workers at the hands of the rangers from different areas of the metropolis, Thursday.

The Rabita Committee demanded Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Sindh governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad to ensure the safety of the arrested workers, pleading to immediately release them, in case they have no cases against them.

In a statement issued here, the MQM’s central decision-making body said the party’s workers including Sohail, Wajahat, Adnan Zaidi, Fahad Iftikhar, Khurram Rasheed and sympathizer Umar hailing from unit-180 of Nazimabad and Gulbahar Sector, have been rounded up from their areas.
