Live Show Vulgar Dressing On Pakistani TV Channels Watch Clip
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has issued to television channels in its fresh ‘consultation’, asking them to immediately stop airing un-ethical and indecent content, programs and songs that are vulgar in nature.
PEMRA said that the Council has issued directives to the Senate Standing Committee on Information Broadcasting & National Heritage.
After PEMRA such programs were complaining not only from the legislators, but also by the large number of public who have seen this kind of programs against the standards and the sanctity of the holy month as a rule.
The Authority directed all TV channels to observe rules below:
No TV channel should foreign content for more than 10% of total broadcasting time, that reveal more than 2 and half an hour per day of foreign content
Combined duration of ads with-in one hour must not exceed 12 minutes
Programs to promote religious consumption particularly hurt sanctity of holy month of Ramadan
Not to mention songs during newscasts use
Programs and commercials indecent and offensive includes clips, etc.
Programs on re-staging and dramatization of crimes.
In addition, the Authority has also advised private TV channels as the national anthem before the start of each day transmission in the neighboring countries as well as put into practice in order to promote patriotism telecast.
PEMRA has also asked TV stations to develop healthy programs for children, as there is no serious focus on children’s programming, and only a few foreign channels currently catering to this need.
