Javed Hashmi quit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI
MULTAN: A senior politician Javed Hashmi has announced to quit Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan.
“I cannot remain the part of the political party which supports undemocratic forces,” Hashmi says while addressing a press conference Wednesday.
His announcement came following his meeting with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz district president Bilal Butt, alias Billu Butt, who came to meet the disgruntled PTI leader at his residence.
Hashmi, who is popularly known as ‘Baghi’ for his hard political stance against undemocratic moves, had joined PTI in December 2011 while parting his ways with PML-N few months before general elections.
His differences with the PTI emerged as the party leader Imran Khan announced to march towards Prime Minister House in a bid to press the prime minister for his resignation.
