Free WI-Fi Across Pakistan Soon, Punjab Get Free Wifi Sindh Awaits
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday gave approval for free public wi-fi system across the province.
While presiding over a high level meeting, the Prime Minister gave the approval to several important measures to promote information technology in the province.
According to the Khadim-e-Punjab metro Wi-Fi network program, free Wi-Fi in important educational institutions, hospitals, railway stations, airports, metro bus services will be provided and bus stands, among others.
Addressing the meeting, the Prime Minister said that the metro Wi-Fi network program will start from Multan, Rawalpindi and Lahore and ultimately to expand.
The goal of this program is to educate in the province to promote with the help of modern technology.
The Prime Minister also offer a proposal for the tablets, teacher of mathematics and science subjects from class VI to be students of class V to VIII of the sector public schools to receive important positions in annual surveys also given tablets X ..
Shahbaz added that the Punjab Information Technology Board has also launched the program of digitization of textbooks in cooperation with the textbooks Punjab forums.
“Punjab government all science and mathematics textbooks from class 6 to 10 digitized, while CDs books were also produced.”
