ABA (China): Tibetans throw ‘longda’, or pieces of prayer paper, into the air as they celebrate the Wei Sang festival in Aba town, in south-western China’s Sichuan province, on Thursday. Wei Sang , which means ‘burning incense’, is a Tibetan festival during which people burn cypress branches, throw longda to worship their gods and pray for another year of good harvest, health, and peace.
