Pareshaan, Wali Zafar race bikes
Several bystanders injured
KARACHI: Reknowned patriot Pareshan Shahid and actor/singer Wali Zafar were seen bike-racing furiously on Shahra-e-Faisal yesterday.
The two stars have been in the news for their difference of ideologies over doing films in India lately. Having been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Actor category for his groundbreaking performance as Pathar Da Gujjar, Pareshaan believes Pakistanis working in Indian films are ‘cheap sell-outs 11 who give less than mediocre performances and “bring shame” to the country. Upon hearing this, Wali Zafar, who happens to have quite a few major roles in Indian films to his name, was offended and demanded “trial by bike race” at the WHY Film Fare Awards.
The race caused a three-hour traffic jam and injured several, which did not stop either of the stars from continuing.
Clad in camouflage-print shorts, Pareshaan was able to jump over several minibuses at once during the race, owing to his experience doing superhuman stunts in Punjabi films. Wali Zafar, who won the race by taking a detour, was seen loudly chanting “Mein tera hero!” at the finish line, reports our correspondent who is in the hospital for clapping and laughing at it.
