Could Einstein’s theory of relativity a few mathematical equations from being refuted? Jacob Barnett of Hamilton County, Ind., Is the only a few weeks before his 16th birthday, thinks so. And he has the solutions to prove it.

Barnett has an IQ of 170, declared his extended theory of relativity – in a YouTube video. His mother Kristine Barnett, although flunked math, did what any other mother would do if her genius son started talking mathematical gibberish. She told him the whole thing slowly as she explains taped her son to explain his view of the theory.

While most of his mathematical genius goes over our heads, some professors at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, New Jersey – you know, the US academic classes for people like Albert Einstein, J. Robert Oppenheimer, and Kurt Gödel – have confirmed he is to come on the right track with something completely new. At the moment they are encouraging Barnett, continue to do what he wants to do what calculus is explained as seen in the video with a whiteboard marker and his living room window above.

“I am impressed by his interest in physics and the amount he learned so far” Institute for Advanced Study Professor Scott Tremaine wrote in an e-mail to the family. “The theory that he works includes some of the toughest problems in astrophysics and theoretical physics.”

Barnett parents knew it with her son, if he does not speak anything else until the age of two. He was with Asperger’s Syndrome, a mild form of autism diagnosed, so they thought he might have problems at school. Instead, they were amazed when he started to solve the puzzle 5000 pieces at the age of 3. The 12-year-old taught himself statement, algebra and geometry in two weeks, and can solve up to 200 numbers of Pi. He left high school at the ripe old age of eight and has been attending college-level advanced astrophysics classes ever since.

Purdue University Indianapolis for a paid research position – At the moment Barnett is recruited by Indiana University. We expect he will find a way in pencil from between his girlfriend and playing Halo: Reach, one of his favorite video games. Yes, he can play classical music on the piano from memory, but he also enjoys watching shows on the Disney Channel and science fiction films. In many ways, he is a typical 12-year-old boy.

Einstein was 26 when he first published the theory of relativity. We expect that Jake has a few years to sit back and relax, before he finally unmasks the Big Bang theory.

“I’m still working on that,” he said. “I have an idea, but … I’m still working out the details.”
